JJ Chair Blends Simple Design With High Style

The JJ chair by Solv is an elegant looking piece made out of simple ingredients: a wool felt seat balanced on a hoop base. It's a look I happen to be a sucker for, since it's at the same time both unpretentious but sytlishly chic. A little bit Bohemian and a little bit modern, with a sprinkingly of "wow" to finish it off.

Pile of Books Side Table Is For, Well, Books Actually

I came across the Pile of Books side table over at one of my new favorite blogs, Pan-Dan. (Yes, I'll wait while you click over and check it out...good huh? Told you. Okay, back to your regularly scheduled blog...) I love the concept, though sadly it wouldn't fit in with my decor. The best part for me is that it would either a) force me to be neat since there are fixed storage possibilities thus limiting my ability to pile actual books on it or b) if I did manage my usual trick of piling books all over it, they'd just sort of blend in. Win-win either way I think.

The Hanging Grass Garden Brings Lawn Art To Life

Lawn Art usually refers to those odd artifacts you stick on, in and around your lawn to dress it up a little. You know, lawn balls, lawn gnomes, etc. But the Hanging Grass Garden actually turns lawn into art by putting a frame around some prairie grass. And honestly it looks pretty good. The frame comes with a "a tray in which you place the high-tech growing medium, made up [of] tiny sponge balls impregnated with nutrients." Cool! It will start to grow in about a week and will last 4-5 months. After that you can order refills. The small version of this frame (12" x 12") is $60 and the larger version (15" x 15") is $90. Makes a great gift for Al Gore. Ironically George Bush...not so much.
